A second winter Caspian Gull “post roost” (R Mays D Cox) female Pintail still Rainbow (4 flew out in morning) c30 Goosander, c20 Tree Sparrows at the feeder, 26+ Pochard, 13 Gadwall, Chiffchaff, Grey Wagtail, Treecreeper, Jay and 2 Sparrowhawk. Drake Smew and 2 Common Scoter still present and 5 Little Egrets along Draycote Bank. 2 White-fronted Geese and a Pink-footed Goose again with 80+ Greylags but still flighty. Other wildfowl were female Pintail in Rainbow, 6 Shelduck over the Visitor Centre then on res for c1 hour, c25 Goosander and 17 Goldeneye. C30 Tree Sparrows at the feeder, Chiffchaff, 2 Grey Wagtail, Peregrine, 2 Kingfisher and Sparrowhawk. In the roost were 2 adult Caspian Gulls, adult Med Gull and first winter Yellow-legged Gull.
